Baseball vs Mizzou

Just recently relocated to Springfield, Mo and was planning on driving up to Columbia to be at the LSU-Mizzou series in April. Having never been to Mizzou I was just curious if anyone had any tips on best places to sit or where I should look into getting tickets. Also good places to eat. Geaux Tigers.

We tailgated the last two times they’ve made it up there. It’s extremely laid back as you would expect...was a mix of LSU St. Louis, LSU Lansas City, and an LSU Iowa chapter all tailgating right out side the stadium. They don’t even have ports potties or anything so the stadium workers opened the gates for us and drove us on golf carts for anyone who needed to go
Tickets you buy at the gate
ETA: even wrote an article about us LINK

I went to the Sunday game the last time LSU came up. $5 tickets you buy when you walk up. They don't draw a crowd, so you'll get in the grandstand if you want.
I went last year when Tennessee was there and we got right by the Tennessee dugout with the UT coach's family.
Booches is a good old school burger place that's been open since the 1800s and probably still uses the same flat top from then.
Logboat Brewing is a good place to hang out. They make a ton of good beer of all styles. Whether you're adventurous with beer or just like the basics, they'll have something for you.
I plan on taking off of work and maybe getting a hotel room for the Friday night.

You won't have a problem getting tickets. Booches for burgers and pool, Shakespeare's for pizza, Flat Branch for beer and food are all good places. I agree with the other poster about Logboat especially if the weather is nice.

Good luck avoiding all the roving bands of white supremacists on the Mizzou campus.

We are planning on heading over from KC for the game. Will be first time, but we have friends that live near that are Mizzou alums.

This is probably a good post for the missouri tigers message board. I'm not trying to be a dick, btw.

Try to go to the Arkansas-LSU series May 10-11-12. It is closer to you and Arkie is both a better team and a bigtime program in baseball.

Well I mean I'm an LSU fan so I wanted to hear opinions from other LSU fans...

I'll probably go to both

May 2,3,4, Dallas Baptist goes to Missouri St. It's become the premier series in the Missouri Valley since Creighton and Wichita St left and DBU joined. That would be a good one to go to.
Also, check out Mother's brewing in Springfield. Once the weather warms up, their back yard is a cool place to hang out.
ETA: UC Irvine travels to Springfield for 3 games at the beginning of March too. That should be a good series of mid major powers from different parts of the country.

If you're just a fan of baseball in general, the Cardinals' Springfield affiliate is good and the stadium is excellent. Those games are a fun time.

Yeah I'l probably catch a few Cards games this year. I only live like a mile from the stadium. Chris Chinea was in Springfield last year but not sure if he's still here.

Missouri St plays in the same stadium as the S-Cards.
They (the Cardinals) will have some good hitting prospects in Springfield this year with Dylan Carlson, Luken Baker, and Elehuris Montero probably reaching there at some point throughout the season.
