Wow, how is this not bigger news?

Though now that it's been noticed by the Rant, Matt "I Don't Read Tigerdroppings" Mascona will probably have it as talking point this afternoon on the radio.

The kids all know the situation. They know what they are up against and they choose to either, continue to compete or move on.

I've got nothing against Chris Reid. In fact, I like they way that he's handled himself. But, out of all of the players on the team, certainly he would have known that this was a possibility.

I may be looking too deep into this, but I wonder if it's a sign that Josh Smith is going to be perfectly fine.

Honestly the most surprising part of this thread is that you registered over a year ago and your first two posts are in this thread.

I hope so. It's just a weird move at a weird time.

With athletes reporting, either Chris or PM may have taken the opportunity to approach the other. I can't see Chris being the type of player to want assurances to the point of playing time, but I wonder how he would handle being informed that he's going to have to continue to work hard just to have a chance of making the team. Probably not what he'd want to hear going into his senior year.

Reid may very well graduate soon and maybe that played into it.
With a healthy Smith, Reid is not seeing the field.
This may allow Reid to use that year to play somewhere else if he so desires.

It was pretty much known Reese was not coming back.

It's called a 35 man roster for a reason.
Would not be shocked if one or two of newcomers leave especially with number of pitchers coming in.
