This is supposed to mean they're good?

No. It's supposed to support the first sentence of my post, which was this:

quote:

I'm not going to say our OOC schedule is good, but it's not as bad as even I have been saying.

If you read the whole thing, the context is apparent.

Ball St will be a regional team. Other than that I agree it's lackluster.

Unfortunately in today's baseball world the only way you get teams to agree to come is to play at their place (and lose home revenue which is a no no for SEC teams) or try and get into OOC tournaments.

is hitting going to be as bad as I'm thinking or is there reason for optimism? I didn't pay much attention to the fall ball reports.

Hitting will be middle of the road in the SEC. It's going to be a totally different approach this year...think 2012 (Gausman, Eades, Nola, Goody) except with much better athletes in the field this year.

I will never forgive Mainieri for playing an outfield of (Rhymes, Katz, and Edward)

This might be the easiest OOC schedule we've ever faced, and that's saying a lot.

I'm debating who hates LSU baseball more, you or Ross Dellenger.

I'm leaning towards it's you.....

If thinking our OOC schedule is laughable equates to hating LSU, they'd have less fans than Loyola.

You shouldn't be worried about the schedule.

Let's see if this team can field ground balls, it's a new infield.
Let's see if they can hit and if it's like batting practice then good.
If not there is time to change it up before SEC play.

I don't blame you for the little green man rolling his eyes. He didn't account for your hatred level. You were insulted.

What about irrationally hating a second team all-conference first baseman?

I loved 2011 Mason Katz.

I did too. He was a second team performer at outfield that year, though. He only made an all conference team as a first baseman once and that was in 2013.

I know. Over two-thirds of his starts were out there.

That was his options that year. The people that think LSU had more talent than Stony Brook that year don't understand baseball. Mainieri admittedly said they got lazy recruiting after the NC and that years athletic ability in the outfield were a joke for LSU standards. Ever since then he has changed his approach on recruiting outfielders.

How many current MLB players off that Stony Brook squad? LSU has 4.
