Hard to believe this is the worst catchers room we’ve had in the last 10 years? It’s concerning
Its completely unproven at the SEC level. I get the ranking.

Catcher has been poor since Papierski left
True. At least it hasn’t been very strong.

Poor Matt Gaudet being brought into this every year on Feb 1st
Just had another kid about three weeks ago. Congratulations, Matt and Jessica!
I also want to point out that Matt was 100% on steal attempts at LSU.

I questioned this take out of high school and now I’m questioning this transfer. He must really just love LSU because he won’t get any meaningful playing time. He’s below average behind the plate. Not sure why he didn’t transfer elsewhere so he could play

I think there's a lot of unknown with the catchers, which gives me pause. I would have liked for one of the transfers to have been someone really dependable back there even if not stellar offensively. As it is it seems like we've got a lot of good bats but lacking in solid, dependable defense. In any case I forsee growing pains early but ending up pretty good behind the plate overall by the end of season.

Catcher is the weak link on this team. I'm sure he believes he has as good a chance as anyone at starting

I also think his bat forces it's way into the lineup. At least rotationally.

Yea it sounds like he should PH if nothing else. I haven't seen any of these guys play, but listening to the reports it does sound like we are in trouble if Priester had to be the everyday catcher. This position is definitely a concern for me. There's nothing more frustrating that bad defense behind the plate.
It sounds like the staff trusts Hernandez back there. I remain skeptical just because I haven't seen him play and it would be pretty remarkable to come into LSU and be the everyday Catcher without having done it before. I would've guessed we need Arrambide to take over the starting role by the postseason but we'll see

Only part of it, Jay got two looks at Priester and competed to bring him here both times.
