Dugas would also be an option at 1st base

This team will literally have quite a few people sitting on the bench that would likely be starting at a few other SEC schools.

Our bench players would be a top 25 team.

I'm a little surprised that Travinski didn't transfer
He still has another year so he can still do that after the season if playing time doesn't come to fruition
He would be a good fit at any of the other LA schools

Think he still may feel he has something to prove.

IF Neal ends up taking over at catcher it might be a race to the portal between Milazzo and Travinski after the season. I could see Milazzo being the guy leaving and Travinski staying if that were to happen too. Could also choose to go pro while they still had any leverage.

yep i miss calculated. point being, he can wave the towel in the dugout and provide lockeroom leadership but the younger guys need the reps. morgan is gone after this year, so his replacement needs experience

His replacement could be Beloso in 2024, he technically has another year should he choose to take it, we know Morgan is gone after this season.

It's almost like you completely forgot the freshman year Beloso had at 1B back in 2019, hint - it was pretty good.

Travinski feels pretty blocked. He didn’t play much last year and they’ve only added better players to the spots he would fit in.

I see Travinski as a late inning offensive substitute for Milazzo, or Neal against LH pitching. You could replace him after his AB or let him catch.

Haven’t forgotten, but haven’t seen a progression. Gotta keep moving forward

I tend to agree with this.

I equate LSU's B team to a team like ULL.

I know he only played 12games last year but he was showing improvement at the plate.

Couldn't agree more. He had several decent at-bats that ended up being hard hit outs in his limited at-bats last year (I remember 2 specifically in Minute Maid). He did a solid job working counts and can handle the bat. He'll never hit for a high average or for power, but with the rest of the lineup don't know that we necessarily need that. But if Neal is that good and can handle the pitching staff at 17, most of you will get your wish.

They will bring him up when they need an XBH. There will be a few guys able to pinch hit that can do different things in certain matchups

Adam must be having trouble determining if Morgan’s 1B or OF.

Well yeah.. but does he get some time in the OF as well? Didnt he play there in the Cape last summer? Could probably benefit getting some more OF action on tape for scouts since he will play there professionally.
