He did well in stretches last year where they let him run with it and didn't try and get too cute. There's nothing wrong with having an arm like his come in between innings 4-6 and bridge...it's no different than starting him this year given the short leash he would have had with control issues here or there.

Agreed, Adam. Or, if you bring in Reyz early in hopes that he finishes, but doesn't, you have Fontenot to finish. Versatile arms are never bad.

The amount of options in this bullpen will be great. Plenty reliable arms to be able to throw out there in a weekend. Plenty guys can come in to bridge and then you can turn to guys like Reyz, Fontenot, and Gervase.

So, do we not get a media guide or game notes anymore?
With the re-designed LSUsports.net, everything has gotten worse.

All stats beyond a few years...completely erased.
I wonder if Bill Franques knows about this.

I've noticed some stats aren't even correct.

I doubt anyone else really gives much of a shite but here is one Non-LSU player I'll be tracking this season:
Justin Janas - Illinois - Got to campus in 2019 I think, much heavier than he is now. Was 0 for 6 in the Covid season, but bounced back to lead the Big Ten hitting .391 last season. I think they only played conference games, so it was all against Big Ten teams. He also led the Northwoods league hitting .402 there. He also walked more than he struck out in both seasons. He doesn't seem to be high on any draft lists I've seen, even lists specific to the Big Ten but I have to think someone is looking hard at him.

I see stats going back years listed right here. LINK Game notes usually get posted the day of the game.

He was hit by a pitch almost as many times as he struck out.

So who does that leave for Sunday and Midweek starts? Floyd and Lansville I guess?

Lansville possibly.
Or maybe Floyd
Or maybe if Hellmers isn't needed Friday or Saturday then he goes Sunday.
