Just curious. Do any of you prefer the look of the pants with socks? I saw a high school game last night, and the pants just seem to be getting longer and baggier, and I really like the look with socks. I really think I'm in the minority on this, though.

Anything is better than this:

I don't have a preference except that I wish that pitchers would be consistent with whatever look they choose so that they are more recognizable while warming up in the pen from my vantage point.

Prefer stirrups. Socks are lazy and baggy pants are even lazier.

I like the stirrup look. But I also like the long pants that aren't cinched at the bottom. Not baggy and not tight, almost like just regular pants someone happens to be wearing to play baseball.

The stirrup look doesn't work for everyone.

I've always preferred the stirrup as part of the uniform. You see it a lot in softball and it's a great look.

Growing up, I always preferred the exposed socks when playing. Could only do that for Legion ball, though. High school coach didn't allow it and our pants were designed to basically require being worn long.

Should have gold sanitaries with the purple stirrups.

I personally like them down to the ankle.

as opposed to the pulled high. The up to the knee look just looks baggy to me.

The stirrup look is too old fashioned for me, but I'll take it over the striped sock look.

Also, only LSU can make the stirrup look good. Damn fine baseball (and football) uniforms.

Your picture is actually stirrups.

You have to know how to do it. You don't just pull it up. You grab at the calf, pull above calf, and pull the slack even with the bottom. It's not baggy at all if done properly.

It's only baggy if your pants are too big to begin with and/or you don't know how to pull them up correctly

Thanks for the input fellas. The weirdest part was seeing the high school coaches in pinstripe, baggy, long pants. It just looked really funny to me. It was high school, though, if that means anything.
