Going for that 2 game sweep

Issue is the ESPN game has to start at 6:30 so a game played in front of it would have to be stopped at around 5:30 no matter where it was

Yeah but what's the likelihood of a 5.5 hour game?
Posted on 4/4/14 at 10:02 pm to JJ27
Could have a possible weather delay. I'm just repeating what he said on the radio.

Can Stevenson lead off yet?
Posted on 4/4/14 at 10:11 pm to ell_13
Seriously, Nola is ridiculously good. He's only given up runs in two games this season.
Posted on 4/4/14 at 10:11 pm to Choupique19
3 runs between those two.

I'm not gonna dwell on it after this thread, but do you honestly believe that McMullen is a better lead off hitter than Stevenson could be, given the chance? Sciambra in the five hole?

Weather for tomorrow night doesnt look good

quote:Yes. What we've seen from Stevie is in the 6-8 spots where he isn't expected to do much. His speed, his good contact... both suggest leadoff material. But there's more to being a leadoff. It's a mindset as much as a skill.

Exactly. Why not play 2 starting at noon

I fully understand that. Are we concluding that Stevenson isn't capable of that mindset? CPM obviously knows his players better than we do, but if he was willing to put Bregman up there, why not at least give it a try. Hell, it's not like we're a run scoring machine right now.

It's hard to work a count when hit and run is called within 2 pitches of your at bat.
Nobody on this team works the count.

Yeah, not sure what stevenson brings.....other than speed that people want to see in the leadoff spot. He Ks alot, doesnt work counts, and has been successful where he is in the lineup.

He has the fewest number of walks amongst regular starters. And yes i unterstand we are letting it rip
