or one less base running error or one less bunt for an out only to leave runner stranded or a better throw to home to get the lead runner at the plate. Baseball is nine innings and every pitch, every wasted out , every error makes the difference in a game. Seems like some fans are like our coach, only what happens in the last inning cost the game

But even playing that badly, we still managed to find a way to ALMOST get the victory. What you are saying is that we could have won by 5 or 8 runs instead of the one run you actually need to win. All I am saying is that we came closer than being beat to death on the road like we did last year in Florida! Our team is on the verge of being great, we just need the breaks like we got in 2008 and 2009!

I think we should start the game with our relif pitchers, and let them get the runs out of the way early, and then fight back the rest of the game with our starters. At least we would not keep losing in the last ining.

baseball is a game that involves tons of factors and a lot of baseball "fortune" as skip bertman said.

We have been so close in so many games, its crazy to think that our record in conference play could easily be reversed. Despite our struggles, I wouldn't be surprised if this team turned it around and made it to Omaha.

I think the most frustrating part for me is the inability for us in the past to advance to Omaha on the road and the brutal reality that even if we do get hot the rest of the way, we've put ourselves in such a hole that we'll have to hit the road for not only the Supers, but also for the Regionals.

And that resulted in apathy? There is a word for that..."fair-weathered".

It is ok to pull for an underdog. Sometimes it can even be fun. Those of you who can't aren't true fans.

I seem to remember a few games when a stater set the tone with a lot of runs and relief shut the team down after so our bats could go to work. only...our bats didn't get the job done. so you see, its a team thats struggling, not just a few scape goats.

Amen! I hope we have some better luck. Those Arky games were gut wrenching loses. I feel for the players.

It's not over. Plenty of time for the kids to improve their play and win a few games. Who knows? Maybe they'll get hot and finish the SEC schedule with a winning record.

i believe if we took 2/3 of all the remaining conference series.. we'd still only be 14-14 in conference?

Check your math, you're missing two games. There are 30 conference games.

Baseball, It's not over yet

According to our fanbase...

basketball is over because we can't recruit
football is over because JJ will start

therefore since baseball is actually the closest to being over.... its over
