Midweek games in college baseball mean absolutely nothing but to get guys experience. You ever think CPM is playing a lot of inexperienced guys against this pitcher because he might be the best midweek guy they will face this year? Let them face a guy as close to SEC pitching as possible while not really sacrificing anything.

I doubt that. They still count toward RPI and won-lost records, which can affect seeding, including whether you get a national seed. That's pretty important.
