It's a balk 100%.
It is, but by this logic, why don't batters randomly yell "TIME" right before pitches to induce balks like that?

well never mind, it's moot now

One of the other umps must have allowed time out.

Kruger up, runner on 1st, 1 out
high, 1-0
Stallings stopped because the batter called for time
strike, 1-1
check swing, he went, 1-2
hit him, but he may have swung at it, gets 1st anyway

You teach kids who want time to remain ready to hit because it may not be granted. Don't face the ump. Don't take your hand off the bat.

Hit the bat, not HBP
Crazy is right.
And the pitcher, pitches.

Stallings is done, Newman coming in
Posted on 4/24/16 at 3:22 pm to StickD
Up by five runs, just throw fricking strikes. Jesus, this is becoming interesting.
Posted on 4/24/16 at 3:23 pm to ell_13
This game is getting sloppy. Good call bringing in Newman. With these calls there was no chance for Stallings to get any rhythm.

Rooker up against Newman, runners on 1st and 2nd, 1 out
swing and a miss, 0-1
high, 1-1
strike, nice breaking ball, 1-2
outside, 2-2
low, full count
Romero and Robertson to the mound for a chat
foul, 3-2
inside, walk
swing and a miss, 0-1
high, 1-1
strike, nice breaking ball, 1-2
outside, 2-2
low, full count
Romero and Robertson to the mound for a chat
foul, 3-2
inside, walk
