what about 7 inning double header?
Posted on 5/16/09 at 1:57 pm to Gmorgan4982
At least 4.5 innings must be played if the home team is winning the game. If not, there must be 5 complete.

Thoroughbred!
Are you trying to give Cadello a heart attack?!?
Posted on 5/16/09 at 1:57 pm to Gmorgan4982
There is no rainout rule for the SEC games they have to be played in full that is why they had to complete the games today from last night!

that's only true for the first two games. the final game of the series doesn't have to be completed. how do explain our 8 inning tie w/ georgia last season? with them being out of school, i don't see why they couldn't at least finish the game tomorrow if they can't resume today

IT's 4.5 innings if home team is winning or 5 inning complete if visitors are winning.

Sorry it was no new information. Just said rain delay and not sure when it would start again. I was just glad I had the right station to listen to
Posted on 5/16/09 at 2:02 pm to CaseyMc2
i think at least the auburn-bama game was only in the 3rd or 4th inning when it got delayed
Posted on 5/16/09 at 2:03 pm to JustSmokin
Around the SEC...
SC 2, Georgia 0, top 5; possibly rain delay
Vandy 4, Tenn. 2, bottom 3; lightin' delay
Ole Miss @ Arkansas, just getting started
Bama @ Auburn AND Kentucky @ Florida; start at 3:00

sounds like to me that nobody really knows the SEC rule on rainouts/sunday completion and all "info" is pure speculation at this point!
Posted on 5/16/09 at 2:04 pm to lsubeer
Isn't it about time someone said it's a mute point?

Posted on 5/16/09 at 2:05 pm to LSURussian
yes, but "sunday" rules are different from what I gather!
