97% of teams with 19+ wins host a regional. Only 1 team did not. USCe in 2003 at 19-11. Why not? Their RPI was 25.
And I agree. National seed is out. Hoover matters none.
ETA: Russian is only saying the SECT matters because PM has said so (which he should being the coach whether it's true or not). But we could go 0-1 and it won't matter. Top 20 RPI + 19 SEC wins has never not hosted.

I'll stand by what I wrote earlier. If we are one and done in Hoover, we are not guaranteed to host. We will be on the hosting bubble.

This doesn't even mean anything. LSU is going to host a regional no matter what happens. There's no way of knowing if they were on the hosting bubble or not after they receive the host spot so that's such a ridiculous statement.

I think if we beat Florida and Mississippi State to put ourselves at 3-0 in the tournament we can sneak in as the SEC's 4th national seed (over USC) especially if USC has a poor showing. We'd be 3-1 against Florida and 2-2 against State.
I really think we have a shot to win the tournament.
