Not if the batter jumps in front of the pitch. He has to make an effort to avoid being hit, too.

I don't think you can square to bunt, move your hand up the bat and then get a HBP if it hits your hand.

Deichman would have had a million dollars if he chose not to come to LSU. He will struggle to sign for really anything now. That would cause some extreme butthurt regret for me

If the umpires rule that you have made an attempt to bunt and you get hit; it is a Strike . Se as swinging at a pitch and it catches meat ; it is a strike .
