I love PM...but jeez...2 outs and guy on 2nd trying to take 3rd on a ball not to the backstop? That's just silly.
But PM is aggressive and it gives the guys confidence...so ...

That was totally the base runners decision. That was not the coaches decision.

That's not Mainieri's decision. The runner makes that decision based on how far the ball gets away from the catcher. Nola's mistake.

Ya..i know this of course. But PM teaches the kids to be aggressive and try to take bases if they see the ball going into the dirt. I just think there should be an "unless"...like "unless" the ball gets past the catcher and there are 2 outs...dont try to take 3rd...
..thats all im saying. I know PM didnt call for a steal of 3rd.
