OTT has been a losing pitcher.
I am sorry, I am pissed right now.

There is no way Ott should've started the inning and was god awful. He should've been yanked for Lasuzzo. Ott will get better next year, but has been a dud for a while now.

What does Paul Bertuccini have to do to earn the right to finish a game?

Have as many saves as Ott has the past two seasons.

Putting in your All-American caliber closer after your short reliever has already gone almost 4 innings isn't the wrong decision.

Ott has had a tendancy to give up homeruns this year...I know of at least twice before the last couple weekends where he had a 3 run lead and gave up 2 run homers.

Coach has given other pitchers save opportunities lately. When someone has been pitching as well as Bertuccini was, leave him in. He is used for the weekend anyway after today.

I was thinking after 1st inning that AR was done. He doesn't deserve to be Friday or Saturday starter. Maybe a midweek starter or a bubble Sunday starter.

His skins were on the wall coming into the year, but they all fell off. He's a great kid, but he's got some major regrouping to do.

You take Ott and Ranaudo out of their roles the last month and you have a different story.

(P.S. Why did Ott not get a visit after he completely forgot what a strike was?)

The same thing happened last weekend. Paul B..shuts down Vandy....taken out in the 9th for our All American closer who gave up a game tying HR. We were able to win that one. Ott has been struggling and Bert hasn't.....why not have Ott warm and ready, but give Bert a chance to close out the game.

My wife was yelling at the computer.
WHY do you take Bert out?
You can't pull him for Ott!

He had a bad outing against Florida not in the closers role. He hasn't been bad outside of that.

Can we say Grewe is on the hot seat?
He should've been able to coach these guys along.
They coached themselves last year???>?

Already had one visit. Would have had to take him out with another visit. It's a rule.

Because they went out for a visit after the first hit and they had to pull him on the next one.

No, it's not the end of the world.
I'm just pissed, that is all.
It was like listening to an LSU football game there to be lost at the end.
