Watched Guidry pitch against Sam Houston last week. He’s good but his fastball was upper 80’s from what I was told. He’s not a huge frame kid so I don’t see him adding a ton of velocity in the next few years. There were scouts everywhere. There’s about 14 D1 prospects on Barbe and Sam Houstons rosters. Sam Houston SS is an LSU commit and Sam Houston 2B is a Texas commit (his brother is UT catcher currently). Barbe has Galt and Guidry LSU commits.

I think Guidry is a legit top 5 round guy. JJ said he was a legit INF and Pitcher prospect.

he he hit 92 last year but much more of a legit middle infield prospect. I expect him to make it to campus.

Brown is interesting. Tall and lanky coming off surgery, committed last year without even playing. has been phenominal on the bump and damn good at CF and at the plate. Only a junior and the surgery and the ability to add lots of strength and weight means he can add even more velocity.

this is brown from earlier this year

He will be given an opportunity to be a 2 way guy if he gets to campus. I don't know if I agree with what you said about his frame. I think he is around 6-2 and only weighs 185. Seems like he could add to that frame and add velocity if he needs to. Last few reports on him he was 90-92. Not sure if his velocity was just down that night or what. He did throw 7 innings that game so maybe he was upper 80s later into the game.

I think he is a top 3 round prospect. He may not get taken there if he tells teams that he wants to go to college but I think the potential to be taken in the top 3 is there.

Was 90-93 most of spring reports thought. Likely just needs to get stronger. He plays year round

I wish LSU would look at
Owen Schexnaydre from Vandebilt in Houma.

Winds could be a factor tonight. Calling for gusts up to 30 mph. Rain not expected.

Looks like the perfect type of kid to revisit in a year after a season in Eunice

Why is max preps website always shut off with that geo shite. I might consume more max preps content if it was semi-normal.

Sam Houston's C and Barbe's SS - studs.

C is I think a Jr (maybe Sr?)
SS is a Sophomore. Starting at Barbe. Damn.

I think he’s committed to ULL now. He hit a bomb in the second game that Sam Houston won 19-1.

Good stuff. Looks like he topped out at 90. Didn’t mean that to seem like he wasn’t legit. His performance against SH was rock solid. His off speed stuff kept them off balance all night.

As an LSU fan I hope he’s able to do both. We need pitching and guys that are true pitchers and can throw multiple pitches. Personally I think we missed on not getting Jack Walker to LSU.
