One area that you can't criticize Bama for is the front DL. Our OL will have to play lights out and maybe get away with a few 'Bama OL techniques'.

Oh I don't think they are pushovers by any means. I just don't believe they are the second best rushing defense in the country.

No doubt we'll know more after Saturday.

Not trying to start an argument here, but who would you rank ahead of them at stopping the run? They are far and away the heaviest front 7 in the country, that usually translates to a good run defense because they're hard to move.

I'm simply stating they have not proven or backed up their defensive ranking. I don't think it's as good as it appears on paper. It's still a top defense but their stats are misleading due to lack of good running opponents.

Legit question, I am not baiting anything. Also I have been posting here all day and have not started anything with anyone.

Would be awesome if fournette really breaks out Shaun Alexander style and gets 23 carries for 225 yards.

you started the thread, no?

because they held arkansas to 83 rushing yards, proving your theory wrong.

Exactly. This is a very poorly thought through analysis.

They're huge, much like Wisconsin's front 7 but more athletic. The key will be how effective the Tiger's FB's and TE's are at giving the tailbacks a crease into the second level. The cutback ability of Magee and Fournette could be huge against that aggressive front.

Hey I think Rise is a good poster for a Bammer. Sure he has some homer in him, but he usually posts legit. We all have some homer in us. I like good dialogue. Better than the usual SECr flame fest

I don't mind it when other fanbases come over here for a little fun. Makes the site fun for me.

Question...Which offense that Bama has played is the closest to the same offense LSU runs? And how did that offense do running the ball?

arkansas...but i don't think it's that great of a comparison

Lol Arkansas' starting RB averaged 4.2 ypc. Arkansas threw the ball 40 times that game. And again, because they held them to 83 rushing yards does not disprove my "theory." It's not even a theory. I stated facts. They have a very high rating after playing very poor rushing opponents.
