I’m pretty sure it’s killed people.
so does regular flu, automobile crashes, etc. We don’t shut down the country because of that.

Take reasonable precautions and open everything up.

My nephew is a freshman at Auburn and has caught covid two weeks in. Three days after being in the dorm he found out a suite mate had been a floor below partying w girls who subsequently came down w symptoms. Very contagious.
I think it’s actually good they catch it there and don’t come home until they are over it. However, keep the football players the hell away from campus buildings and neighborhood bars! Online learning only for them!

I think the infection rate is really going to make it hard to have fans at the games but that shouldn’t stop the players from playing the games for TV.
They are safer in the football bubble at schools than anywhere else.

Or you could just stop making up numbers. You haven't backed up your claims at all which isn't surprising.

Like I said a complete waste of time. You answer a question with baseless ad hominem attacks instead of facts to support your claims. I don’t distrust all media but I can tell when someone’s full of shite.

-there are 5 million people living in Alabama
-There are 115k confirmed cases in Alabama
-that’s an infection rate of 2.3%
-There are 38,000+ enrolled at Alabama, that’s .08% of the states population.
-29% would mean between 11 and 12k of those students have tested positive.
-that means 10% of all cases in the state of Alabama are at the university of Alabama

So .08% of the people living in Alabama account for 10% of the cases when the infection rate is 2.3% statewide?

Do you know how impossible that is?

Where did I say I believe the 29% infection rate of the student body?

I will say your calculation for the infection rate is kind of curious. That's what it currently is but that number can easily rise especially if you put a lot of people in enclosed spaces together

What's the equivalent size city of 40 million unemployed unnecessarily by government tyranny?

Nobody gives a shite about those people. It's like they don't even exist. But let's continue to worship medical personnel for simply doing their job, fully aware of the risks & get paid very well.
I do not feel sorry for them They aren't heroes.
The 40 million unemployed whose jobs have disappeared are the heroes.
How bout some commercials honoring the unemployed?
But let's not talk about that.

I know 2 that have died from the virus and three that were close to dying (on ventilators). People denying that it’s a deadly virus are in denial, or just idiots.

I'm going with the latter. They've been wrong since the beginning but they moved the goalposts enough to where now they just don't care about people dying. Ironic that the all lives matter crowd doesn't actually care about all lives

You mean like thousands rioting looting robbing unmasked fighting yelling spitting & sweating in tightly packed groups?
But that's ok because Covid knows who's rioting & destroying cities & who's at a beach party or dorm party.
You're full of shite. Always are.

Fake as lying news. 29% is obviously full of shite.

And EVEN if it were true, which it is not, that would only be real evidence on why schools and sports should open back up. 1/3 of the students and Alabama have it yet well over 90% only know they have it because of a test.

Either way the FULL truth says this is a nothing burger. When 50 of the die from this I will change my mind.

So has 100,000 other things. The sooner you come to terms with the inevitability of death, the sooner you will be able to live a life beyond the mere existence so many fearful people cling to so tightly!

Well, alot of people still die from the flu every fricking flu season you fricking moron. Just bc you don't know any of them doesn't make that any less true. I don't personally know anybody that's died from the coronavirus. Idiot.

It is, it’s practically impossible. The largest outbreak in a county is 14-15k in Jefferson and that place has 660k+ people in it so to think that the University of Alabama with its 38k students could have 12k cases, which would make it second behind Jefferson county, is insane. That would mean Alabama would have a 27% higher infection rate than the biggest hot spot in the state. I guess anything is possible but the odds of this being true are just too great. Just more fear mongering is a much better bet.

OMG, this is really bad. Cancel life, run for the spider hole. It will all be fine and no nee to over react. Most of them are likely false positives.

Hard to imagine a better reflection of the mentality of the troglodytes who think the covid pandemic is just another unremarkable variant of influenza.
