I'd rather sit in the upper deck and watch a Championship team than sit on the 50 and watch an ArchHallNardo squad.

Who wouldn't? I sit in the WU and have no problem with it. Meanwhile, I get some good seats down by the field for Ole Miss game, near the 50, and I am sitting with the biggest wine and cheese crowd of all time. I saw many groups of 4 (2 guys and their wives) and the women were chatting up a storm. It makes me sick...nothing we can do about it...

my only point is that as long as we're putting banners up, it should be a non issue for us all. The TAF reorganization that occurred when Emmeret came aboard has obviously worked.

It's done more good than harm, no doubt. The point I guess I am making is that money always overrides loyalty. This is, afterall, a business. It's just not a fair one.

i'd rather go 7-5 and have fun crazy crowds than go 12-0 and sit with spoiled fans and not have fun at games

How 'bout we build some retractable seating, so that when 1/2 the stadium heads for the house at halftime to "beat the traffic", they can push those seats in and it won't show empty seats???

Just saw on Fox Sports that Bama has approved a expansion that would increase Bryant-Denny Stadium to 9,000 seats in the south end zone that would enlarge the capacity from 92,138 to well more than 101,000.
Still less than Ohio Stadium.

They are under the spell of Sabanisn.

Look when you got 90,000 goons willing to go to a spring game to see Satan oops I mean Saban gumps will come....Nothing else going on...
Posted on 2/10/09 at 6:35 am to tigernhogland
Seems pretty stupid to be making that kind of expansion during this economy.

I am never going back to BDS after the 2007 trip. Those corkscrew ramps and the upper level seating is terrible. It was like watching a game on Google Earth. They must have hired an Aggie to design that dump.

I bet they are in the stimulas plan the gumps on capital hill got the funds approved....for stadium expansion....

Yea, but they are still hillbillies who have to live in Alabama! So, what good is a hugh stadium.

I wouldn't go THAT far. The c'ships mean a lot. I will admit, the most fun I had at LSU games, during a season, was in 2000 and 2001. I think many will agree with me.
The lamest seasons I have ever endured were 2004 and 2008 (even with Bama). See the connection?

It wasn't until the last two decades that they had even done anything with Bryant-Denny. When I was at LSU, their stadium only held around 55,000 people and we played them at Legion Field until 1988. Then capacity was at 70,000 until 1999. This has been the decade where they've made improvements.

LSU needs to fix up Tiger Stadium like it is now instead of increasing capacity. It should look much better than it does now.

I wish we would not have placed things next to the stadium to take away from the Roman Colisseum look that it had on the north side. The Colisseum look went with the Italian Renaissance architechture of the campus.

Bama has the fan base. We cant even fill up 92K. Only 60K showed up for Troy.
