I had such a sick feeling after Ronnie Lewis blew it. From my vantage point on the east side of the stadium it looked good

It went over the right goalpost, but not between the posts. It looked good as a spectator sitting in East Stadium, and even Coach Arnsparger and the team thought it was good

Never comes to that if Tigers goes for TD or if Shula does not pull off miracle trick play

Alabama lucked out the year before when Robert McGinty badly missed a winning FG in the Iron Bowl a year before. That put LSU in the Sugar and Auburn in the Liberty.

How old are you? I guarantee you weren’t there through Bear and finally when LSU had a chance to beat them again.

That loss cost LSU the conference title and Sugar Bowl. LSU wasn’t supposed to play Bama that close in 2012. I was there

How many obvious false starts can a crew miss?

I was talking about 2012. I was in the student section. Watched yeldon walk in.

That was the most depressed I’d ever been in Tiger Stadium.

Imagine it costing you the Conference title and a shot at Miami in the Sugar Bowl

Funny how all that has changed anyway since they vacated those wins. 0-12 that season or whatever.

But, imagine if you hadn’t won the conference in 15 years?

yeah 2012 way much worse after what happened on 1-9 and what was on the line. a shot at UGA in SECCG and if we win a natty against ND.

we always ran pro set aka split backs with dalton and garry. we did not run I or ace then

We ran I some in that game. It depended on the back and full back. Sammy Martin had carried out of the I in that game if I recall.

ok maybe i forgot. i just always remember mainly running pro set with the dalton-james gang as we called them with risher/wickersham being the Qb's during their 4 years as running backs together.

I was at the game. I was in 7th grade...and the first thing I did at football practice was make a 24 yard field goal.

But this is the 1st I have ever seen of the broadcast footage but it looked good to me.

I delivered a pizza to Doug Powell a few years later.
