I''l say this for Mathieu and to everyone who is down on him.
I agree that what he did was stupid. He let down everyone in his life including himself. But he was facing an addiction. If you have never had any experience with that then you will not understand so just trust me in what I am about to say.
I've had experiences with addiction in my family. Don't speak of how Mathieu wasted his talent and opportunities. Everyone with an addiction problem does the same. Don't try to make sense of it because you cannot do it. It cannot be rationalized or explained.
If he makes his way through rehab and works to get back on the team then I will be one damned impressed man and think that it would be foolish if LSU did not give him another chance. Not for we fans, but for Mathieu.
Mathieu is going through pure unadulterated hell. Yet he seems determined to face his demons and conquer them. What he is trying to do is overcome something much more intimidating and formidable than an Alabama receiver.
I will be praying for him and hope that others will consider doing the same.
