Ran out of two inning yesterday, prevented the big inning. Had a running thrown out at 3rd and a man thrown out at second with the game winning run on 3rd.

Do we not go over base running? Is Cain that awful of a base coach? This would be pathetic for a high school/middle school team much less a college team. Embarrassing and inexcusable to be headed home because of fundamental base running errors.

It was garbage both games this weekend. They did stuff you don’t see past coaches pitch. It was so dumb

Base-running has been bad since 2010

We were not a great base running team this year, but this weekend was exceptionally awful. We wasted so many opportunities.

True, but CPM's terrible decision to pitch to their best hitter was the ultimate frick up.

***I also called base running being used as the excuse. Point -> RB10

Umm it's been going on for a decade now. I've watched ever super Regional game and have seen zero base running errors....LSU had four in two games

Cain has been one of the worse base coaches for years. Not sure how he still is third base coach!

We were a very good base running team when Cannizaro was here.

Garza missing that ball was huge too. Allowed a base hit to win the game because it put the runner into scoring position

How so? If we don’t make those base running errors, your statement becomes completely invalid because the game is over.

It was like that all weekend. Not stepping on 2nd. Getting picked off of 3rd. Hesitating going from 1st to 2nd and getting thrown out. Just to name a few. No excuse for that. You don't deserve to win when you do things like that especially when you have no timely hitting.

It's not invalid though. It literally happened.

ETA: Not to mention the mistakes they made were Dixie Youth level bullshite that comes from not focusing on fundamentals. Guess who that ultimately falls on?

Him skipping over second base in game 2 then standing in between the bags deciding whether or not to touch the bag was a big mistake as well. Either keep running or go back and touch the damn bag. Don’t draw everyone’s attention to it.

Cain was awful two years ago. The base running errors this weekend arent really on him though.

He told the kid to try and take third yesterday and he was right next to the kid getting thrown out at 3rd. He is most certainly responsible.

Been my biggest knock against Pawl for years. Well besides for being a notorious choker.

There was a player in game one (I'm not saying his name) who looked to that 3rd base coach while rounding 2nd on a ball that was hit in front of him. The ball was hit to right center.

That's not a mistake, that's poor base running fundamentals.

He certainly didn’t waive Watson to second or tell Garza to miss second base.

I didn’t see if he waived Watson (?) to third last night, and Gio was just sleeping.

No, the ultimate was Viet throwing in game 1 in that situation. That ruined game 1 entirely. If you have Fontenot properly warmed up, he would have been able to mow through them like he did today.
