Most Tiger fans that I know are coming to Austin without tix. Guessing the secondary markets will remain around $100. I just paid $400 for six tix on Saturday. We will be slumming it in the LF GA on Friday night.

Group of 4 going this weekend. Got tix for Saturday.

Does Texas do much tailgating for baseball?

I've been to Austin a handful of times. Was thinking of having some pregame brews at Schloz Garten and then heading over to the ballpark.

Was wondering the same but I can't imagine. For the 2019 football game I saw more people tailgating in the parking garages on San Jacinto than anywhere else. Looked like a super lame tailgate culture.

Yeti Yard in left center wall is free and a fun experience. UT might limit this area to students only for games with high demand.

They have such a small stadium. Definitely will need to expand now that they’re in a real baseball conference. Visiting fans will have Austin circled on their list every time the schedules release.

Surprising it’s so small considering they are a blue blood in the sport and have that Texas ego.

Doesn’t seem like it’s a big tailgate scene considering the bar scene right there. Sounds similar to Athens.

They might try to adapt to SEC culture and develop more of a tailgate culture in baseball and definitely football. A&M did it. They made their own knockoff grove after being in the SEC a few years.

Curious what the average ticket price is right now?

For anything besides GA, north of $150/ticket after all the fees and crap.

Season ticket holders are able to offset the cost of season tickets by selling their tickets this weekend. Pretty good deal IMO. Miss three games to go for free the whole season. Tickets are $10-$20 per game through most of the stadium even after including the donation fee.

Students rarely attend UT baseball. Although, I'm guessing there will be a crowd this weekend. Season ticket holders are an older crowd.
