So you moved on to a loser in McMahon. Hope you love being last in the SEC

And you want to perpetually slob the knob of a coach who would barely be middle of the pack in the current SEC if he were still here.

I hope LSU basketball burns down to the ground. And it will because of people like you, thankfully

We competed last year

Our fanbase SUCKS. He was trending correctly…that is why this year is so heartbreaking. We should not be this bad. Even with losing Reed, we should still be an NIT team. You essentially cut tyrell ward, you bench mike williams, you spend a shite ton on an A10 5th year guy who was average and a 5’10 sg who plays PG and can’t get into the lane in the SEC…his mismanagement this year is devastating. We were trending correctly and shite went to Hell

It’s because of people like you that I’m glad LSU basketball is going to burn to the ground, just to prove my point

McMahon is a shite coach who can’t even get a decent team above 4 SEC wins. He might not even get more than 2.

People like me?
What do I have to do with the current state and future of LSU basketball?

Simply stating Wade got caught dead to rights is the reason LSU basketball is the shits right now?

The two situations were not remotely comparable.

Excuse making is cute. I watched tonight’s MBB game for the first time this season (only to see Trey’Dez Green play basketball).

I want to win.

McMahon will never win in the SEC.

Read my earlier response to you, idiot. I know McMahon isn’t getting it done and is all but destined to be gone. I have no issues with that. But Wade didn’t cut it here when it really mattered the first time. It would be beyond stupid to re-hire him this offseason or next with the conference even tougher and everyone able to legally and openly pay all of their players.

LSU needs a better coach than Wade to consistently be in the top half of the current SEC. Period. I am merely mocking you for being a mindless fricking sycophant.

You like watching losing basketball? And an empty PMAC? Because that’s what you’re gonna get for the foreseeable future.

This was a response to someone saying “Wade screwed Wade” that doesn’t mean they don’t like Wade or want the team to lose, he was just pointing out that Wade was wreck less. Relax Nancy

So who is LSU getting that is clearly better than Wade? Who is going to pay the salary? What would a big time coach find attractive in a football school with out dated facilities and suboptimal support?

LSU is not committed enough to MBB to hire anyone better than Wade, or even Wade. They are the Saints of MBB

Exactly

Not once did I say I preferred MM to Wade, say I’m glad he was gone, or anything negative wishes wise about the team. I liked Wade but I also understand why he’s gone and what’s done is done.

This may make you wade lovers mad but I was told by my buddy in college basketball coaching circles that if Wade wasn’t such a giant prick then he would still have a job at lsu. They were just looking for an excuse to can him.

You promote them. That’s how Wade came here. Thats how Oates made it to Bama. How State got Jans. It’s always a risk trying to see if a coach will translate up a level though, as we see with McMahon after a good run of success at Murray, but it’s the usual path.

Or you hope/wait for some luck. That’s how Auburn got Pearl and Ole Myth got Beard- as retreads off of a show cause and a scandal and firing, although Beaed doesn’t look quite as good at a smaller program than he did at Texas. But it’s still true that neither were in the reach of those schools until they got in trouble and needed fresh starts. At the very least, Beard has made OM consistently good.

Tennessee also gave Barnes a re-tread shot after Texas tired of him, and he’s had more success there than he did at his former school. That’s also how Houston got Kelvin Sampson, and he’s only built them into a top 5 program. They were a fricking joke and had been for 25 years when he arrived.

None of the above commanded massive salaries when they were hired. There are no guarantees, but plenty of schools have done this right.

It's not an excuse. The situations weren't the same. Wade was paying playing out of his own checking account and lied to Woodward about it. I want nothing more than Wade to be our head coach. He's probably my favorite LSU coach, regardless of sport, in my life time.

With that said, LSU didn't have a choice.

Bill Self’s Kansas program was caught, but KU stuck by Self and even extended his contract. Our administration really screwed the pooch on the Wade situation.

I think Jans is a better coach, personally. He’s turned State into a really tough team in a relatively short period of time. Memphis beat Mizzou and beat Ole Myth handily. They also beat Michigan St and UCONN early in the season, but State pushed them around the entire game when they played, and that’s a really good and experienced Tiger team.

I get it but I’m not passing on Chris Beard again. He’s won everrrywhere he’s been, and has for a long time now. The guy had flippin Texas tech in the final 4.

He had Texas playing for the title in what, year 2?

Ole Miss is gonna be a problem is a few years if he stays there, all it takes is time no matter where he’s at. His track record proves it.
