If the graphic was for men's basketball, it'd be Syracuse orange.

I've been to the Carrier Dome twice.

Once when LSU played a football game there

And once when I was in the area and decided to go see Duke v Syracuse in 2015. 35k at an on-campus basketball game is nuts.

The space before the teams names at 16 and 23 irks me.

Based on what?

My opinion only, based on what I see on tv and at games. There are always a lot of empty seats on non-conference games (-60%) and at least 25% on conference weekends.

We lost the 25+ year streak when we closed half the Box for covid and others didn't. Also I'm pretty sure I saw an espn graphic this season that Miss state either led last year or was leading this year

In 2007 Arkansas beat LSU in average attendance

In 2007 LSU beat Arkansas in total attendance because LSU played 35 home games compared to 31 for Arkansas

That’s the one time outside the Covid era that LSU wasn’t #1 in both categories

In all these attendance stuff you have to look at capacity. South Carolina for instance in Football stadium there capacity is around 78,000- we would sht our pants if we had 78,000 for a game.
Miss St- 15,000
Arkansas, ole Miss, LSU are all around 11-12,000 seating capacity but standing room only around 13,000
Most stadiums largest crowds are set when LSU visits.
Miss St won a few years ago won it all but then followed kinda like a season were having.
If we could seat 15,000 , we would set records in a given year w/ Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss St - it really depends on opponent’s ranking and record.
We LSU still show up no matter what but this season I hope is different or “mulligan” year. WE are still the Powerhouse of College Baseball

You’ve just described every team in the country pretty much

we were under COVID restrictions until late in the season. I also have no idea where we ranked in 2020 when the season was cancelled early

What a crazy time back then. Absolute insanity

LSU is gaming the system. An attendee of 2,000 is reported at 14,000.

I randomly clicked on "photos" from midweek games at Mississippi State games this year ... that's a shite TON of empty seats.

every single school in America uses "paid attendance" as the number they report for attendance

LSU has never reported a single on campus game with 14,000 attendance.
ever.

Based on what? Where is the extensive research you have done?

I always find this funny. When listening to Louisiana media, LSU claims that they hold the undisputed attendance records. When listening to Mississippi media, Ms State claims the same thing!

The simple fact is, a lot of SEC schools can claim record attendance if you choose the description and/or time period carefully (I.e. average attendance, paid attendance, actual attendance, etc.).

One thing to note is that Dudy Noble field has about 30% more capacity than Alex Box.
