You talking about the bevy of OL busts that went to Group of 5, FCS, and junior colleges?

It never fails, when a group of people try to push the narrative that someone is perfect it always ends up making them look silly.

Who was “in the fold” when he was hired at the very end of November?

So now freshman All-Americans are busts? This is what I’m talking about, when you don’t think and just say things to defend someone no matter what it is you look silly.

Nope you don’t get to make pompous assumptions then hit the brakes and ask questions once you’re wrong. If you do t know who you’re talking about you shouldn’t be making incorrect claims. Keep up the knighting maybe it’ll work out for you.

Negatigers, Gump imposers, trollers and general M....f...s in this tread eat chiite and die and geaux to h*((. Now that we have the facts settled....O is somewhere between 11 and 25 on a real list. He retained a great DC, made necessary changes with offense and realized Canada was not going to work in time, recruited at a high level and brought in a significant transfer at QB. And 10-3 (really 11-2) when no one expected. LSU is in position to be a playoff contender. Insects and lab rats continue to chirp and squeak on...

Ed O starts to lose or he and his staff can't install the spread "c.o.r.r.e.c.t.l.y." he'll be in boiling steam faster than 40 pounds of crawfish and just as uncomfortable.

so you're ok keeping O if he never wins a title of any kind?

whats wrong with wanting to move on from O if he can't win a title at some point?

Since O started as HC, we’ve become Double Standard U for a lot of people on this board.

of course we have.

we werent supposed to judge O by 2017 but its perfectly fine to judge Canada by 2017. a season where its an objective fact that O meddled in the offense.

My biggest concern for LSU football when O was hired as HC wasn’t that he would fail. Usually if a coach fails, he’s replaced with one who’s presumably better. My biggest concern was that he would fail and fans would accept it like they wouldn’t with any other coach, leading to an outcry to keep him. If he loses 3 or more again this year, I guess we’ll see.

Thankfully at least Woodward isn’t into mediocrity.

my biggest concern was his ability to hire good coordinators once aranda moved on. he has already burnt me on the OC front. if we are all being honest his skill set is similar to Miles. recruiting and motivation. not an X and O coach.

Yeah, the OC hiring/firing/hiring was a damn disaster. You’d have to think if the offense fails again this year he doesn’t get to pick another.
