And those statements aren't mutually exclusive. Harris and QB play is A problem but not THE problem.

He's a better recruiter. He gave up 25 points per game last year. The most since Malveto.

Ogeron was a career saving hire by Les. He will rebuild the Dline to elite and with depth. Pairing him with Arandanis extremely intriguing. I think the two could be a match made in heaven.

but I look at their defensive line too. You look at them the last few years and then you look at Alabama and it’s like, wow, they don’t even compare anymore. They haven’t had the grown men up there like they used to have. Maybe that’ll start to change now that Ed Orgeron is there.
And this is why you get pumped to hear that a guy like Valentine is now eligible. That a kid like Alexander is eligible. Whether they start or not doesn't matter. We'll have actual depth on the D-line for the first time in years. The difference will be felt immedietely. In my totally worthless opinion.

look buddy, i'm as big of a posi-tiger you will find and if you disagree with even ONE of those 3 points you are an idiot. LSU lost their DLine talent under Brick and Chavis. our QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and our OLine couldn't pass block.

sure we need a QB that can pass but without the O and D Lines it won't matter much.

I've thought this for quite some time. Chavis really let our recruiting go to shite. And Steele was not a very good coordinator.

Not too long seeing as Steele was here one year. An after thought

don't know but personally, if I had to chose, I'd love a dominant defense over a lights out offense

True, but wouldn't we all settle for a competent and balanced offense? Not too much to ask...

Thanks for everything Brick, you fat frick.

Brick came over in 09. That coincidentally was probably LSU's last great D-Line class before (hopefully) 2015. The 2013 class looked good on paper, but has been more or less a bust.

2013 DL class:

Herron
Gilmore
Bower
Lacouture
Patterson
Neal

Other than Lacouture and maybe Neal, that group hasn't done much. Godchaux (currently) is the only '14 D-lineman who has done anything.

And Les Miles was/is the HEAD coach. He was/is responsible and accountable for the program.

What exactly do you think is so damning in those comments? They just tossed around a bunch of things everyone knows and said if LSU fixes those watch out.

You are correct. Just ignore the little children and move on with more good common sense:).

I think everyone has been saying our dline got worse under chavis as the years went by. That's why there wasn't a huge out cry when he originally left.

This wasn't a secret, since 2011 teams like UF, Auburn, Bama, Arkansas and State were able to run right at us.

Yeap, including every win, one national title and two sec championships.

But doesn't help your AD changes assistants contracts and hand cuffs you on trying to hire new ones.
