There are some that will stick by their guy, but they don’t speak for all former players.

And fandom can’t? The ex players, some who’ve played professionally, are a lot more level headed about this than fans who claim to know more about baseball than pros.

I could see 12 or 13 years ago being really excited about a Bianco hiring if we needed a new coach. But after 20+ years of nice regular seasons at Ole Miss and not much more..it’s just a meh hire. Will we have success to some degree...of course. But I thought we were looking for consistent CWS appearances and NCs.

In this case at least that’s clearly not true.
The main thing the fans want is for LSU to be successful. If there’s this much of a disconnect between them and what the former players want, it begs the question what the agenda of the former players is.

I would Love to steel an elite Coach from another school. I dont Know if Bianco is that guy.

Why? Bianco was Ben McDonalds catcher. And coaches Walker at LSU
I respect Walker’s opinion as to the quality of Bianco as a coach, but that was 25 years ago.

I like Godwin too and would like him to be at LSU as well. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like Bianco.
