Sit around and find reasons to be angry. When a position opens find only minority candidates to fill the position. Organize black pride events.

The answer is yes, which is dumb because had this thread not been made no one would've ever known this hire happened and it never would've personally affected anyone on here.

Instead, outrage culture is in full force and everyone wants to be mad about something.

good for her to getting an easy paycheck in a role that she’ll never be able to be fired from

I’m not mad about it, I just think it’s funny. This is a really a salaried 40 hour a week job?

If I was hired in one of these roles I would feel like it was a pity hire

I’m not bothered by it but it does seems senseless. When you look at football, basketball...men’s and women’s..., track and field, you really need to define “diversity”. I notice baseball has at least 3 minority players, which, by the way, is 3 more than the Air Force Academy has !!!
I’m sure this young lady is a good person but this is about optics more than anything else.

Bothered is a strong word. Creating a position that will neither change nor create anything is stupid but good for her getting paid

Most people should realize athletic departments and similar corporate settings have all kinds of positions that make you go “huh?”

She was a great Tiger as a gymnast and coach. She’s a very good well liked person so it’s good to see her get this opportunity versus some outsider with no connection to the school who you know won’t wait to start some kind of shite.

I don't know Robert Munson personally. I have never met the guy. But I can imagine that if I were in his shoes (a functioning athletic department employee who got laid off because of budget cuts in the department due to COVID) and I read this news today, then I would be pissed.

This is a good thing. The football and basketball teams should better reflect the demographics of Louisiana. It's a positive.

Maybe she can convince the athletic department to diversify away from hiring convicted felons.

Yeah, let's recruit a bunch of sub 6' guys to better represent the demographics of the state.

Every athletic team is made up of genetic outliers, trying to shape the rosters to fit the demographics of any group is a fools errand.

There's nothing Cody wants more than to receive commendation from other Twitter blue checkmarks for his right-think.
