I must be missing something here. Did anyone see any Oregon games outside of the Auburn game last year?

They're fricking real good.

We will be better with USC's seniors. We have some schollies left to give out.

This is a very good day. The NCAA just lowered the boom on USC and their senior will be flocking to greener pastures like duckies.

and we won a recruiting battle with LSU - 98% at least.

Fortunately we aren't playing them last year when they had an OL...

This oline has much more upside...much more. They need to be in sync though.

Yeah, because that's all they had.

If your O is going to hurt us it will be because of our linebackers. They are the weak spot of our D. A mobile QB and a good catching tight end will exploit that. So, yeah, you will definitely move the ball and score points but just not as much as you're used to.

One point to think about though. You put a lot of stock in your close loss to AU. While that was a testament to the strength of your team, that 19 points you scored against them came against the 58th ranked defense in ypg and 88th in ppg.

LSU was 8th in ypg and 9th in ppg for reference. If we have even an average offense with similar production on defense, I can't imagine it will be close. Personally, I'm not expecting much from our offense until I see it, so I think it will be close.

I totally believe that LSU will hold us to lower production than Auburn.

Now if we can just get Kalil and a senior wide receiver from USC, then all bets are off.

Considering our defense is much better, I would hope so.

If we hold you to under 500 yards of offense I will be shocked.

Wow, bob, you sound like most Duck fans. I think I just heard the other shoe drop.

Without the OL nothing else works... Doesn't matter what you have. Plus, I think our DB's can handcuff their possession receivers. They just aren't going to be the team they were last year.

Les and company will show DT why he counldn't play QB in the SEC and is in the right place with a soft Pac10 gimmick offense.

Doc, we will be the team we were last year but with mayb a loss. We finish out our OOC with Nevada and Missouri State. Nevada lost all their players. We have lots of talent on the oline and they will get up to speed by conference play. It really works out well for you. LSU plays us when we are sputtering. We get two powder puffs and then we are finely tuned machine for conference play. It could really work out well for LSU.

You should've saw us trying to stop Auburn. We had fricking guys running all over the field. It's like we didn't even practice.

I think your offense is much more explosive than Auburn's, and we gave up 440 yards rushing to them.

Unless LSU gets drastically better on offense, it will be a close low scoring affair.

Appreciate you posting here. I'm not into statistics but the Ducks will be taken to woodshed in Dallas.

Well, if we get a WR, OL, and DL from USC, it could really reshape the landscape of this game. I really am not joking LINK .

You realize that we had someone in position to stop Cam every single play. Unfortunately for us, they couldn't make the tackle. I'll make a thread tomorrow and go in depth with it.

Well said, but it can take a while for the O-Line to gel (might take longer than 3 games). Frankly, apart from LSU, the only team you guys have to seriously worry about is Stanford. Sure the beavers will be obnoxious and ASU might step up this year, but there's not much else. But, I think your offense is going to have some serious problems at LSU.
