but it can take a while for the O-Line to gel (might take longer than 3 games).

Greatwood took a much worse line (no returning starters and 19 total starts) with all new receivers and masoli as the qb and got them up to speed for shallacking against CAL. This line returns 60+ starts and has guys recruited for our scheme with much more athleticism.

The other thing that has to be considered is the long trip that the ducks are making is surely going to throw them off, and that's a very bad thing to have happen in the first game of the season. On top of that, it will almost be like a home game from all the purple in the stands, and the crowd may actually be louder than at TS. They won't be leaving early after traveling so far to be there.

...The ducks are a very good team, but I just see a skull-fricking coming up. Very reminiscent of VT '07.

One thing I will say about our coaches is they haven't been beat by more than two scores since Masoli went into the Coliseum as a first game starter straight out of JUCO and no fall camp in the fourth game of the season in '08. We don't get skull fricked.

The strategy of milking the clock with 9 minute drives isn't going to work against this defense.

That's why we recruit guys like kenny hilliard. So our 5th string rb can wear ur arse down late in the game.

If we win the USC sweepstakes, it just might be our ticket. Lame Kiffin has been telling everyone that these appeals are going through. Tomorrow they have to have presser to let everyone know. What a dickhead.

I know every team trains hard, but can you imagine how hard both teams are training right now, knowing who the first game is? This game was a homerun from a publicity standpoint, but should also prepare you guys to rape the PAC-12.

Unfortunately, it's just another bump in the road for us. 7/12 opponents we face are preseason ranked. Another year in the SEC.

for all the oregon fans: your best defender (the DE) is gone as well as several DL and LBs and the remainder of your defense is not upper-level SEC caliber. Furthermore, the DEs are smallish and are going to be mauled in our power running game, period. If we get the passing game going, lights out to you. On Defense, you are going to see why Darron Thomas was afraid to try to compete every day at a defensive power house. No way in hell did he want to endure the punishement he is going to receive in this game every day in practice for four years.

Not that we play dirty, but there is typically a ton of injuries to our OOC opponents when we play. Guess those big hits hurt.

Boy, this is one of the worst rants I've heard in awhile. Let's take it from the top. Matthews was our best defender last year and he was an LB. Our defensive ends are Terrell Turner (6'3" 273) and Taylor Hart (6'6" 275) and we use a drop end DE/OLB in Hanna (6'2" 245) and Jordan (probably 245 and 6'7"). You should familiarize yourself with the roster better. Darron Thomas wanted to be a qb not an athlete. Piss poor evaluation of the staff by the way. He would've been a horrible WR.

Yes, we heard this one before when we played Auburn. Our guys were going to get broken in half. I saw Cammie laying on the ground but no Duckies were hurt. The truth be told we usually sustain more injuries against Washington State. Nothing good comes out of playing WSU.

Sorry for recognizing that Oregon is a good team, and that LSU isn't just going to walk all over them.

I wouldn't mind 3. Tupou at DT, Kalil at center, and one of their 5* WR. That would be perfect.

Edited: Maybe they got a good Senior linebacker.
