just FYI, we dropped to 5 before the UNO game. I check it daily this time of year and FSU had passed us up.

I knew it.

Good thing we're opening the season with them next year. Great scheduling choice.

I hate playing in-state teams on the weekends. But this was done to help UNO out. Mainieri is a UNO alum and was very upset about the way the athletic dept was handled a few years ago and wants to help the baseball program get back on its feet.

UNO is re-opening their stadium next year and the first game there will be the Saturday game of opening weekend. I don't see us being so accomodating to them going forward, but this is a unique circumstance, and Mainieri wants to help out however he can.

I think they have a pretty good recruiting class coming in. Hopefully next season can be a springboard for them to compete regularly in the Southland conference.

Yeah, maybe they can raise their RPI from 297.

That will happen. They will not be nearly as bad next year. They've got some good HS players coming in, including the running back from Parkview that was MVP of the football and baseball state championship games.

I think they hit the JC ranks pretty hard too.

They should. I know 2 Delgado guys signed with NC St, 2 with High Point, and former LSU pitcher Christian Trent signed with Ole Miss.

I haven't seen which guys are going to UNO. But Delgado's got a lot of talent on that team.

That, by itself, should keep their RPI from being that low again.

It actually dropped to 5 on Monday after Florida State's win.

UNO is 273

Jackson St, LSU's projected opening game regional opponent, is way up there at 265.

Should we throw Manny Miles in that game?
