He struggles with the easiest pass there is to throw, the swing pass to Fournette, which is nothing more than a glorified toss sweep. More often than not Fournette has to lunge for it. The screen pass over the middle, forget it.

This, but we also must incorporate short throws. We either run the ball up the middle, or throw 15-50 yards downfield... every play.

The defenses can sit on a very short play list. Now, I don't have that much confidence in Harris to not throw a 5 yard pass like Ricky Vaughn. See the attempted pass to Fournette on the rollout last night, for example.

That is what must develop. Touch.

Then you're as blind as Miles when it comes to QBs. Jennings has little to no real talent, and it showed big time last year. Harris had a MUCH better overall season this year. We were compeltely handcuffed by Jennings' INABILITY to throw a bunch of routes.

Our QB's are inaccurate, and that is one of the few things that is hard to blame on coaching.

Jennings is inaccurate because he's inaccurate, he cant literally make a lot of throws required in a downfield offense. Harris is inaccurate because he's throwing WAY too many deep shots. I mean literally half our throws every game are fades, seams or go routes with him. It's super low percentage throws. It's almost like we dont even practice touch short/intermediate passes with him and when he has to make those passes he sails them high and has no touch.

This is just untrue

Huh? You make no sense. A "frick it, throw it deep" offense isnt an offense, it's just low percentage throw after low percentage throw.

This...Harris would be nice backup, but should not be a starter in the SEC...

Was he bad because Purdue's offense is dogshit or was Purdue's offense dogshit because he was so bad?

He had zero talent around him ... LSU has a ton of talent.

So you want to see more passing from Harris? Is anything he is getting worse as the season goes on.

I want to see him DEVELOPED, and not "Brought along slowly" to the point he never throws significant passes in games until we're getting crushed which is just a completely stupid philosophy that helps end up with the poor offense we have.

Every single person was right those first set of games this year when Harris was throwing it 15 times a game he was getting no real development and he'd shite his pants when the time comes and we're down 2 or 3 TDs. Sure enough, there we go once again.

No balance on offense means poor offense, bottom line. IF you cant keep a defense guessing they eventually will stop you.

Sure. But usually, if you're pretty darn good, your talent will make others better around you, they don't usually make you put up terrible stats.

Do you believe he is better or worse from Arky game? 3 games of being allowed to throw the ball around in real situations has not helped anything.

He has top tier SEC QB talent.

The rest is up for debate, but I think he could do well but isn't being developed properly, as opposed to he's just not good enough to do well.

Is it not plain as day?

He chucks it deep way too much, this is coachable.
He throws off his back foot, this leads to decreased accuracy and once again is COACHABLE.
He panics in the pocket despite the fact he's a mobile QB, once again COACHABLE.

Just a few things we saw early on and still see at the end of this season. Zero improvement across the board.

Harris has the tools you want in QB, you just need a coach to harness them.

Throwing the ball a lot in no win situation never helps anything. that's exactly what I just said. He was put in a poor spot to start with.

We had no balance to start the season. Harris got no real development, then when we get down by 2-3 TDs we expect him to chuck it 50 times and have any real success?

Once again, it's about keeping the defense GUESSING. When you're down 2-3 TDs and passing it every down it's not any different, and it's worse when the QB was never properly prepared for that point with 15 throws a game.

Arm strength, yes. The rest of the talents that go with the QB position, I don't see it.

I also think he's totally lost his confidence.

You should send a message to Cam. He probably hasn't tried to coach him on this yet.
