I’m okay swapping GOAT blue bloods with yall for the next decade. You can have 3+ baseball natties and we will have 3+ in football

LSU baseball is what Bama is in football, what Duke and Kentucky are in basketball, it is the Mecca. I think some of us here don't realize it's not like this anywhere else, not really even close.
It is truly unique in the sport at the college level the passion here. I'll give one example of kind of what I'm talking about but I could relay many:
I was at a Cub game about 1 or 2 weeks after LSU won the baseball national title in 2009 - I was at Murphy's Bleachers before that Cub game.
I was wearing my LSU gear and a couple of folks approached me noticing my gear as one was from Tennessee and the other ironically from Alabama. Both knew LSU had a tradition in baseball, but outside of that you could tell they did not really follow college baseball much, we talked much more football.
But both did ask me the same type of question, didn't ya'll just do pretty well in the baseball playoffs, thought I saw something? I said well....yeah - we won the national title.
It just means more here, it really doesn't most other places, even fans that were there to watch baseball. It's different here. By a long shot.

Did the OP post this on the SECR or declined due to being banned by other bama fans?

Maybe not this year but, y'all have had a great and successful program. It's why most of you guys are upset at this year.
As baseball continues to rise in stature for a schools' athletic identity, I honestly believe Bama will eventually answer that bell. You may be down but I doubt down for long.

Our main issue is leadership.
The portal might bring in talent but you can't teach leadership in sports at this level. You either are a leader or you aren't.
I love Alex Bregman, he is easily one of my favorites at LSU because of how hard he worked. No one will ever forget the story about a midweek game where he went 0-4 with 3-4 strikeouts. That same night he went to the batting cages for hours. That is work ethic.
However, he wasn't the leader. That team went to Omaha and had talent but no one really was the top of the pack.
Last year it was our Pitching staff. two years ago it was Dylan Crews and Paul Skenes. They were talented but they were also leaders. Mikie Mahtook was a leader. Fontenot, Theriot, Cresse, Coleman, Dean...LEADERS....
This year's team doesn't have that. Derek Curriel is amazing and will be great eventually, but he is never going to take the fall for a loss or carry the team on his back. That isn't a knock against him, you can see it on TV
We are young and still waiting for someone to stand up and lead.
