Well-spoken and polite kid....and my 12-year-old daughter thinks he's a hottie.....but the boy needs to put some meat on that chicken chest of his and bulk up!!!

Not sure he's big enough to take some SEC hits right now.
6=3, 180 lbs is a little lean.

Hodson played at 195 so at 188 he is pretty close.

With his frame he should get to 200 before playing IMO.

Which is doable, but will be tough.

Kid has a great future.

How awesome would it be for him to come in and take the job and run with it? It would be nice to know that we have a solidified starter for at least 3 years. I know this is wishful thinking, but we see all of these other schools have a freshman Qb come in and earn the job. It would be nice for it to happen to is for once.

That was also 30 years ago and players are bigger now ...

I think I'd rather see him come in and not use up a year of eligibility. Then you have 3-4 years where hopefully he can take the bull by the horns and you don't have to worry about your QB. When was the last time we've done that at LSU?

Weight gain needs to be progressional...too much too fast will lead to injuries down the road.

190 this year, redshirt and put on 5-10 lbs of good weight and as a rs freshman in the 195-200 range and finish off his career at 210-215.

That's also a good way to look at it. Most of our QB's have been thrown to the fire pretty early as of late. Whatever happens, it's nice to know that we have two talented freshman QBs on the roster.

But if he's as awesome as we hope he is we don't get three or four years after a redshirt year... we get two more.

Hodson might have finished his career at 195 but he didn't start it at 195 that I can tell you. He came to LSU around 165-170 and played as a true freshman. Tough as nails and could sling it! I'm great with Brennan starting out at 190.

He probably needs to be around 210, but 200 would be just fine. I am jacked for this kid to get on campus. Something tells me that he has a legit shot for playing time this year

LSUs website roster lists Hodson as 6'3" 181 lbs. as a freshman. He was listed as 195 lbs. as a sophomore.

Sorry i cant imagine been so long. what would we do if we couldnt complain about the QB after a game or after a season ? Most young LSU fans probably think 300 yard passing games come around every 20 years. I think that will change once this young man has been here a year or two
