Mainieri says big guy with big personality, reminds him of Todd Peterson. His brother's name is Cash Money, obviously his parents have some personality as well.
I was really excited about this kid when we signed him and thought he would never make campus. Covid helped us out there, but his velocity has never improved like I thought and I think that was part of it as well. For such a big guy, I thought he would have more velocity. Maybe that will improve, but Beck is a big guy and his velocity has never been up there, so who knows.

I think it was in the low 90's when we signed him and it is still in the low 90's. I haven't read anything suggesting that has changed recently. The article only talks about adding a third pitch.

Money's fastball topped out at 92mph in the three innings he pitched during the fall scrimmage I saw.
