I think a lot of people felt like this LSU team was going to give one up to Arky this year, regardless of the Bama result. The way the team fell to Bama will have an effect. This is not that off the wall.

To be fair, in 2012 there were a lot of LSU players who dogged it after losing to Bana earlier & were focused on going pro. So that balances out a little.

2013, Arkansas has a new coach and is winless in the SEC. LSU has Mettenberger, Hill, Landry, and Beckham. Mettenberger gets injured late in the 3rd, Beckham gets injured in the 2nd half. Tough break for the Tigers, but those guys played well over half of the game. Tigers win on a busted Arkansas coverage with about a minute left in the game.
THIS.
A 2 loss LSU team with all that NFL talent AT HOME needed a backup QB to come in and lead us to a victory at the end of the game against an Arkansas who were not as good as they are this year.
Plus, LSU possibly being flat and all that stuff. Wouldn't be shocked at all if we dropped this game.

Same can be said for LSU.

Really. So after the Bama game in 2012 the team who went out and beat #22 Miss. St. and Ole Miss the following weeks decided to "dog it" at Fayetteville because they wanted to go pro?

Ark 2.5 pt favorite?? Why??

I don't see a problem with the line. The two have played three common opponents so far and Ark has looked as good or better in all three. Ark always plays LSU tough and is at home.

Remember after Auburn how many people said we may not win a conference game. This team has come a long way whether we win or lose this coming Saturday. Arkansas would probably be 2nd in the East.

They are a decent team. They are gonna get someone...I don't like the fact that we are coming off a loss like this, honestly.

This game is the absolute perfect example of a trap game.

No, what does LSU have to prove by beating lowly Arkansas, winless in the SEC for 2 years straight? To LSU, this is a game that you expect to win. We aren't playing for pride against Arkansas. If we win, so what? If we lose, major disappointment.
On the other hand, Arkansas is foaming at the mouth to get their first win after losing so many games so closely. To get their win against #20 LSU would be a huge win for them. If they win, it's a huge gain of confidence, if they lose, so what?

Jennings' bomb down the sideline to Dural makes so much sense in retrospect

Um, yeah. We beat Miss St, great. We played an Ole Miss team that didn't even go bowling and needed a 92 yard punt return to tie the game in the 4th quarter and help for a come from behind victory. The players then checked out for the bowl game, when all of those defensive studs that left early for the NFL got torched against a Clemson team minus Sammy Watkins who got hurt on the first series of the game.
