Good, he will quit before he ever sees the field.

Does a Spring semester and full-time summer slate fulfill the requirement?

This is why I thought he’d end up at Clemson. Close to home, not in the SEC, and in the playoffs every year.
If he really wanted to play closer to home, Clemson was the logical choice.
Apparently he didn’t want to play or be close to home.

Meaning ... he'll play less than 2 full seasons of college football then declare for the draft. He's either a genius or an idiot, time will tell.

maybe he wants to sit out.

I'd expect a waiver request based on CV19 and compassionate reasons for mental health to be nearer to his family support structure or environment (BS or not) more conducive to his particular needs.

His "homesickness" contributing to his opt out is a good start in that justification. If he saw a behavioral health therapist at any point, it could be enough.

The clinical depression linked to CV19 has enough traction to at least request the waiver.

Coach O this morning(2/2) on OTB. We'll see what happens with him. Does this mean if he does have to sit out a year he isn't going to Florida?

Do you do the confirm thing as a joke? I never really can tell if you’re serious

That's the point. He's still far from home.

He's from Marietta, GA. 350 miles from Gainesville.

My guess is he goes out of conference if he has to sit out the 2021 season. He's just committed to Florida right now. Means nothing.

I think he wants to sit. I don’t think he wants to play college ball. He sits next year, doesn’t have to worry about injury then balls out his junior year, gets a high draft pick and is off to the NFL. I don’t think he cares about LSU or Florida or any school. He is a me player.

I had the exact same thought, now he can sit for a whole year and get “high, high, yes sir!”

that is still 200 miles closer than BR, and who knows what Aunt/Uncle or long time family friend is going to pop up in Gainesville to support such a request.

Even if he can justify the environment is better for him from a "mental health, inclusion, belonging,(insert 2020 hot topic buzz word here)," he has a shot.

The SEC already granted mass waivers this year based on the "unprecedented times and conditions," paraphrasing Sankey. His withdrawing from team activities and noted issues will be used to justify a waiver request.

That said, I completely agree it is BS and he should sit. But, it wouldn't surprise me to see him suit up for UF next year either.

He'll get a waiver more than likely.

Do all these programs have compliance, drug screening? Do some just look the other way?

Makes sense, except for the fact that Gainesville is not much closer to home. That is the kicker here, dude is claiming all this "home-sickness", but is trying to go just as far away.
