Covid rules will allow him to play this year.

Just out of curiosity, given that LSU plays Florida annually, is there any way they could have blocked his transfer to there?

SEC rules says no, hes going to have to get a waiver for not being academically eligible which seems tough to do.

I'm usually not one to be petty about a kid leaving, but I'm glad. He still has a child's mindset in that he saw what Kyle Pitts did at UF and thinks he'll get coached up the same way. I hate it because if the idiot had just stayed here, he'd be a 1000 yard TE and br going in the first round in 2 years. Now it might take him 3 years and he probably won't go until round 3 because UF doesn't have a decent passer on roster.

No they don’t allow coaches to block transfers anymore because the coaches started getting ridiculous with the places they were blocking players from.

He will get a waiver and will play next year. Anyone who doesn't think this wasn't considered when transferring to UF is crazy

They cant guarantee anything, it's not up to them. They can feel as confident as they can be, and will tell him anything to get him on campus. If it doesnt go through, nothing changes other than he has to wait a year to play. They dont care as long as he's there.

Sounds like he just wants to go hang out and train in florida and then declare for the draft. Doubt he even plays a down at UF.

Can they practice if they have to sit a year and can they practice when academically ineligible? Obviously, this kid doesn't want to go to class.
Please clarify: Are they saying that a kid who is academically ineligible at one school and transfers to another can get to play immediately because of Covid rules? Can't be!

You, uh---you're not known as a deep thinker in your circles are you?

Vito, all I can say is I wouldn’t take any bets that he will sit out!

UF will put so much pressure on the SEC they are bound to cave!

As that great philosopher Yogi Bear once said;

“Hey boo boo, rules are made to be broken!”

So if the Tenn backers are academically eligible, they could play immediately?

Come to think of it, guys, they will have this semester and summer to get the grades up to speed.
I just don't think he wants to go to class. It's a self-worth thing. He knows school is good for him but can't explain why he doesn't like it.
His self-worth is based on his athletic prowess.
Personality wise, he's probably shy but bright and articulate in many social situations---it would fit that profile. It makes no sense to those who are around/know him that he wouldn't do well and like classes. But just like a little kid, when you say "why didn't you study"? he says "I don't know". Consciously he really doesn't. Doing long term things to improve yourself when your subconscious is convinced you are not worthy is very difficult.
