Also cried a little after the 2019 Bama game. Wasn’t planning to go until about 2 days before and my wife told me that I needed to go because it was gonna be a great game and I would regret missing it. It was worth it

Cried when I was younger when we lost to Arkansas in 02 at the last second. Were playing to go to the SEC championship.

Oct. 31st, 1959 LSU vs Ole Miss. I was 10 years old and it looked like the Tigers were going to go down in defeat. My brother and sister had just returned from trick or treating and were going through the candy they had gotten. As Cannon started his run and it was obvious that he was going to score I cried and my mom cried because I cried. It was one of the most memorable moments of my life. Thank you LSU. Thank you J.C. Politz and thank you Billy Cannon.

I came close a couple of times when I was in school. One was after the 93 Arkansas game. That may sound like a silly one, but LSU had won 3 or 4 in a row and beaten Bama on the road leading up to the game. A win in that game and the band was headed to Miami for a bowl game, which would have been LSU’s first in 4 years. I took losing that trip hard.

The second was a year later after the disaster at Auburn. The year before, the Bama game was our full band trip, which was pretty amazing. Auburn was the full band trip in 94 and looked just as good for a half. The drumline spent the entire game talking a few metric tons of shite to everyone around us. That didn’t turn out well.

I didn’t actually shed tears, but I was lower after those games than the loss to Bama on 1/9/12. I was a lot older and happened to be in the happiest place on earth with my kids that week. That helped cheer me and my wife up. It’s also a lot harder on you when you’re actually at the game.

Boys and girls, I've mentioned many times how much older I am than all you youngsters so I've seen a lot of LSU football.

The heartbreaking losses carry a lot more emotion than the great wins do exhilaration it seems.

But I must admit, last year when we were beating the shite out of Clemson, all I could think of was losing my older brother just recently and knowing he wasn't there watching with me as we often did, when LSU had their best season ever. I had a few tears well up in my eyes thinking of him and his absence. Of all the bitching he and I did every time LSU or the Saints screwed up, that season made up for it.

I have never after a lost. But cried tears of joy in the Superdome watching us win our first national championship in 50 years when LSU beat Oklahoma.

ETA: 45 years to be exact. It felt like 50

I did when I was in college (1980’s). After 1/09/2012, I was so pissed that I didn’t want to do anything for three days. Now, LSU football doesn’t affect me. I have seen the worst and the perfect season. I shed a tear each time I watch Joe Burrow’ heisman acceptance speech.
