re: Are you okay with PM's decision to start Chinea every single game?

I did when I was hitting. With a runner on second I was always trying to go right with the ball. That way the runner never had to stop on a ground ball. Most do.

He was a big part of that late winning streak we had. And then he was benched for the first game of the SECT. I couldn't believe it

It was a joke for Krob's biggest fan. #RIPhcb

This reminds me of the way Coach played Tyler Moore. I always felt like when Moore was getting into a groove, Coach would bench him for making a base running error or something.
Ahhh....memories

They're talking about real baseball. Not The Show on ps2.

That's not true. Krob played everyday and he couldn't crack .250.
And to my earlier point since he asked for an example, if someone would go back to check I bet Robertson was probably above that over the first couple of weeks before the stretch where he started every day. Definitely higher than where he finished either way.

OK, I jumped in this thread late.

You've missed alot. There is a poster or two who think Chinea deserves to be hitting cleanup and that he is an average 1st basemen.

I'm not an alter. Nice try tho. I guess you are still looking to pull a ball to left field with a runner on second. Leaving him at second way more times than you would have you went to right field. And if you couldn't do it then you shouldn't be discussing it. Josh have you ever played baseball? 12man on a 12 man roster only playing cause the coach had to play you an inning doesn't count. I remember a josh who had a radio show and was canned because of how dumb his opinion was on sports. That's u?

foster has bad mechanics, he tried to charge one and field it on his side and on another he flicked a sidearm throw to Chinea.
Right because when it comes to mechanics Bregman has the best!

He obviously missed Chinea running away from that pop up in foul territory last Saturday.

U think he is an under average first baseman? Lol you are retarded. U think you know more than a national championship coach.

I'm guessing you mean Sciambra?
This. His time here has been squandered. No one will ever know how good this kid really is. He won the Championship game of the SEC Tourney. What did that get him? Bench time. Too many 5 tool players with potential. Gotta develop them. I am still waiting to see him play...

Might be a bad one. Zardon?
This. Zardon was the second highest batting average behind Bregman in the Fall last year. He didn't make an error. KR had the 3rd highest batting average. He made plenty enough errors that you could tell his glove wasn't ready. In spite of the fall, KR took his place at 2nd. Zardon was benched. As soon as KR replaced him at second, Zardon began making errors. Mind f___.
This year, I'm going to say, Zardon was 2nd in hitting in the fall (can't remember). At least he is getting to play this year, but his chain is still being yanked. Baseball is a mental sport. If a guy doesn't know if he is going to play or where he is going to play, it affects his mind. Many cannot perform as well as they could when they are on a short leash. So, what you see from these part time players is less than it could be.

still doesnt mean chinea should be hitting cleanup
I don't give a frick who hits cleanup. I was responding to a goofball who said batting average with men in scoring position, otherwise known as timely hitting, was definitely a flawed stat in a player eval. I am still laughing about nonsense.
If it's not broke and being #1 seems to imply it's not, leave it the frick alone would me my thought on Chinea.

Who would Sciambra have played over in the OF the past two years?
Posted on 3/18/15 at 9:22 pm to Lsubaseball2000
I'm looking to hit it where it's pitched. Up the middle if I can.
You are either an alter, troll or both. I hope it's one of those. You can't really be this stupid.

But yet Sikes lets a catcher call him off. He is better right?
