Until somebody finds and burns the pics of CPM in stllletto heels and fishnet stockings that Chris has, I'm afraid he a fixture at clean up.

And he seemed to do a pretty good job. Not great but good. And did really well those first 11 games. 2 errors in the 12th (maybe 13th), and now he's gone.

Oh well...

I have a feeling if errors continue to be an issue at 2B this weekend, Foster won't be there anymore.

I want him to succeed at 2B because we can keep our "offensive lineup", but his mechanics last night were pretty bad.

He tried to charge one and field it on his side and on another he flicked a sidearm throw to Chinea.

He could have easily had 3 errors and looked like he lost it mentally.

I would love for him to be a good 2B. That would make things a ton easier. I'm rooting for it because it seems to be what will keep Chi at DH. I'm just still a little disappointed in the lack of rope Zardon got at 3B.

It's definitely a flawed stat. But some of us already knew that.

BA with men in scoring position is a flawed stat?

You want-a-be coaches crack me up.

Guess the alter is here. Please throw the knowledge at us of how awesome a stat it is. We have yet to hear the logic.

Well Bregman was 0-fer with RISP last night but he drove in 2 runs. Laird had our only hit last night with a RISP and didn't drive in anyone.

I meant that it has a flawed perception. Chinea hits singles with a runner on a second and he doesn't score. Bregman hits the ball to the SS with a guy on third and he's out but gets an RBI.

Who was more productive?

Is that too complicated for you and your commie friend?

There is nothing flawed about timely hitting in college baseball which is exactly what batting average with men in scoring position turns out to be whether it always produces a run or not.

To argue otherwise is stupid.

I'll take the out with a run scored! Hey groupee....rather be a wannabe coach than a full-fledged-dumazz!

Ok, well Bregs got an RBI, but his BA w/RISP dropped because he got out. And we're not measuring "timely hitting"

you are telling me what the stat means. Getting a hit with a runner at second or third. I'm glad you know the definition.

We were discussing the importance of it in relation to a cleanup hitter. In this case, it's flawed because it doesn't corrolate to runs as often as it should because Chi rarely hits it well enough to get more than a single. Also, it's basically a "luck" stat because it only takes into account 1/3 of the ABs and could lead one to believe he's a better/worse hitter than he really is.
