This is not meant to be a knock on JJ but I agree the game plan is boring when he is in. I've said that since the day he took charge.

Probably has something to do with the OC too but I love the wide open JL QB vs the I wanna run first JJ. Either way I'm beyond happy we have TWO who can win.

You get bored watching a 16 play drive that covered 99 yards in almost nine minutes? You sir, are an idiot.

I know that you aren't very bright, so I'll be as gentle on you as I can. Why is it that people that refuse to pile on and say bad things about Jefferson are olny members of his family? Does your simple mind not comprehend that there might be people that really understand football and see all the Jefferson attacks as a blind stupidity?

Thank you for playing.

It seems very predictable
I like the different dimensions both JL and JJ bring to LSU's offense this year. Yes, we know he's going to run most of the time; yes, we know JL isn't going to run, ever. But I saw the way JJ coming into the game yesterday shook some things up in the Tennessee defensive scheme and energized the LSU offense when it needed some energizing. JL was able to come back in and was even more effective in the 2nd half. That seems to me to be the best use of our different QB talents. And yes, I think JL is the starter and should remain there, playing most of the game, but IMO it's ok to make room for JJ to play in key possessions.

Gaining positive yardage, i.e. 99 yard TD drive, is never boring.

How much credit are you giving to JJ for the 99-yard drive? He ran it once (that I remember...a QB sneak), threw a couple of poor incompletions, and handed it off the rest of the plays.

I would argue that that drive happens with JJ, JL, or Mett in the game. In fact, the following drive with Lee looked very similar, just didn't start at the 1 yd line.

JJ has run the ball better this year than before...seems to have a bigger "want" than when he was the primary QB the past 2 years. His throwing ability does not look improved, so Auburn and Alabama with stack the box when he plays to stop the run.

We need sustained drives to rest our defense and keep the ball out of Richardson's hands. We're gonna need both of those things against Bama.

As long as JJ and JL are moving the chains, it does not matter to me if JJ runs for 50-yards in 3-carries. Teamwork will get us to where we want to be. Points are points regardless of who makes it happen.

Personally I like the "in your face, smash mouth, I'm going to whip your butt" style of football. That drive was a thing of beauty. It confirms dominance more than anything. I love long time consuming drives. Even better when it's (almost) all running. At the end Tennessee was a totally beaten team.
Somehow, I like that.

I don't want to pick a fight here, but haven't every body we have played stacked the box? Does any body in college football not know that LSU is a run first, run often team?

Pretty sure the point here is that its more fun to watch as fan lee toss it around to playmakers than to watch jj keep it and run around the end.

Win is winning though.

Doesnt seem very hard to game plan against us when he is in.
From the team's perspective, it's a huge change-up. NoJJ is not the quick hit QB JL is, but he's a totally different threat as a runner. Drop back passer vs roll out. Running vs prostyle. Slow javelin thrower release vs very quick release.

Also when JL says he doesn't mind sharing the role, I'd bet he's being 100% honest. They are very different QBs. Certainly not competitive stylistically. Bringing JJ in to start the 2nd half this week was perfect.
