Obviously they are! As a fan we just need to enjoy them why they are here and enjoy getting new unbelievable freshmen. I heard John Calipari say one time, "Who am I to tell them to stay in school and turn down millions of dollars. If they are good enough to get drafted that high then they should go."

We were just in the national championship game a couple of years ago.

Lord.

Empty stadium in the 3rd can never be used as a recruiting tool.

Probably, but it's not exactly a good thing. We need to find a way to keep these kids for their Sr years.

What exactly is left for the coaches to do? Hold them at gunpoint?

16 freshmen have played so far. Others will soon. Message...if you are good enough to hit the field, you will. Come get an early start as a Tiger, the SEC team with more alumni in the NFL than any other.
4 (technically 5 if you count Quinn's 2-point conversion) true freshmen scored points on Saturday - an LSU record (either way). There were more than a few freshman-to-freshman exchanges from center to QB to running back. All of the passes were thrown by a freshman and sophomore QB, all of the passes were caught by freshmen or sophomores. The only senior skill players to see any significant action on offense were Hilliard (he was a legacy, we had to take him) and Magee. Collins is the only real superstar senior on offense, and the closest to a senior star we have on defense is Rasco.
Most of the the buzz about our team is focused on the freshmen and sophomores. Really, only the 4 seniors I mentioned above and juniors Kwon Alexander, Q. Thomas and Hunter are getting anything like the PR of our younger players in their first or second year of playing.

I'm sure they do. Hasn't seem to work has it though? Maybe they should try harder
Yeah sucks La'el bolted.
You should try not being such a Debbie Downer all the damn time, you might actually enjoy the sport for once.

Actually LSU is the Pipeline to Paychecks for the NFL roster spots...it is why everyone goes to college.....To Get Better Pay as soon as possible

You do realize that players in college that have kids take this into a big consideration, seeing as playing college ball doesn't get them paid compared to leaving early to provide for their family/children (many of which LSU players have left due to)

Why? Would I like all of the players to sick around for 4 or 5 years? Sure, but isn't it the goal of all students to get a job in their chosen profession? If they can make it in professional sports after less than 4 years in college, I say "go for it." I just hope they get honest, objective advice from coaches and family on which to base their decision. If I had a child, who was a star athelete, I would advise him/her to leave early.

I've said 100 times im selfish.
LSU winning is more important to me than how much money players make when they leave.
The reason why they choose to leave is inconsequential.

Wow, can't believe that I'm coming to Tigerlee's defense, but if this makes one a POS fan and racist, then I guess I have some things to work on also!

Leaving you 3rd year is fine if you know your good enough to make the money your leaving for but if you need another year you should stay period! A lot of LSU players needed another year and still left and that's what needs to change. Both DTs could of come back for a final year and probably would have been drafted higher bc of the depth we would of had. The guard that left could of come back for another year. Jarvis and Beckem I get that, but their are some that I just don't understand?? BF I leave a job I would make damn sure I had a better paying job or job at all bf I leave!!! Benefit of coming back for these unknown guys is that you get your degree, at the same time you get another year on TV every week and have a better chance to win more games/battles with your opponents therefor makes you look better on TV. Some guys need that year to mature even more. So it can be very beneficial to stay for some situations, I just want to see those players realize this and stop taking a chance, gambling basically.
