What a joke. Jayden is a running back and if you can’t see that you have issues

Bert Jones? Tommy Hodson? Jamarcus? Matt Flynn? Rohan? Matt Mauck? YA Tittle? Joe B?

Who are you putting him ahead of?

The has no aptitude for that position. Sorry, but it is true.

When is the last time he threw a slant?Seriously, go back and watch the games.

Was the play that got Lacy hurt not a slant over the middle?

Just checked SECStatCat. Daniels was 12/23 for 165 yards on slants coming into the A&M game.

JB9 is the obvious #1. But before you get to Daniels, there's, in no particular order, Y.A. Tittle, Bert Jones, Matt Flynn and Jamarcus Russell. And probably a couple more. If Daniels were merely very good as a pocket passer, his scrambling and running threat would elevate him. But if you shut down his run game, the offense becomes mediocre.

Zach Mettenberger

Not with this offensive line.

Matt Mauck

Sure. Matty was/is a winner.

maybe even Danny Etling

Meh.

JD is a fine, modern, dual threat QB and we just haven't had a true comparison. I agree he isn't the "2nd best QB ever" at LSU, because we've had Y.A. Tittle, Bert Jones, Tommy Hodson, Rohan Davey, Jamarcus Russell and a handful of others in that conversation. I certainly wouldn't take JD over Jamarcus Russell or Bert Jones, just as 2 obvious examples. Probably not over Rohan or Hodson, either.

I understand Mett because he can really spin it, but Etling? Really? If we're talking about guys that can't throw spirals...

Lee also had 3 years under his belt when he was finally decent. His first year starting all you clowns were calling for his head.

Be careful what you wish for.

But no, JD5 isnt close to #2

That's a massive insult to Bert Jones, Tommy Hodson and Zach Mettinberger

You sound stupid if you would take Jarrett Lee and Danny Etling over Jayden Daniels "

He never mentioned Jarrett Lee.

Pretty sure that was a drag route.

So, roughly 7% of his attempts this season are slants and slants only account for 5% of his completions this season. He’s terrible at throwing slants, which is why we rarely run them.
