No the TO was on second down.

Probably so run it down to like 6 and take 2 chances

We had to run another play to get it to 3 second.

Not when you're centering it for a FG.

The only play I'd second guess was the handoff to center it.

I said in the game thread before 3rd down that LSU should sneak it to pick up a couple of yards and keep the ball centered.

Handing the ball off there had literally no chance other than losing yardage. Just let Burrow fall down and you at least gain a yard. Not that it mattered but it’s always best to get as close as you can for a field goal.

Meh, I don't care about one yard when he has the leg either way. I care about the biggest snap of Burrow's young career and adding an unnecessary handoff. Snap it, take a knee, lose a yard and kick it. Minimal risk when you're in winning position.

I don't lose sleep over the rushinf attempt though.

Are we ready to discuss CEOs strategy of losing yards prior to the walkoff FG?

No.

That’s how it’s done son. Run out the clock. Center the ball. Let the opposition finish their prayers, then let your kicker become a legend.

Greater risk of QB injury, maybe.(?) The decision worked out so let's move on.

Great game by the coaches, the players, and everyone involved!

STFU hater. We ran the ball to try to get a few extra yards and ended up losing a few. Not a strategy dumb frick. You are just trying to find a way to discredit O.

Tracy kicks a very straight ball, down the middle meant a lot more than a couple yards closer at an angle.

Auburn was out of T.O.'s. All they had to do was take a knee. Handing off only increases the chances of a turn over.

When is the last time LSU got the ball with over 5 minutes left and went down the field and kicked a walk off FG? The answer is literally never.

how about a walk-off TD instead?
the 2010 Tennessee game meets that criteria. lol
