Undoubtedly Angel is one of the best players in the country but its undeniable that she struggles when she faces strong competition.
So we only played 2 games against tough competition last year?

We lost 2 games last year. And I’m not sure either one of them were on Angel.
Did you even watch those games?

what a dumb post
shes a kid that got gifted a ton of $. she lived the hollywood lifestyle all off season. reality has now set in and kim had to flex back real quick to check her. players need this.

Do you not remember our last shot of the game being Angel forcing a layup over four defenders instead of passing to an open teammate?
She ran the designed play

And we got blown out by SC because she tried forcing her same style against Boston who locked her up. 5-15 from the field with only 4 rebounds
We got blown out by SC for way more than Angel.

It's pretty deniable. Besides that one game against South Carolina she hasn't struggled. She had 22 and 11 in that UT SEC tourney loss. She had 24 and 12 in the Final 4 against Va Tech's All-American center. 17, 15, and 3 blocks against Utah's All American post.

One game against Kent State and we question having an All American
She’s been slacking every game this season. No fire.

That’s not what I’m saying at all. Thankfully games where she struggled other players were able to step up and perform. Our team was deep last year and it’s just as deep if not more so this year.
Look at Jasmine Carson in the national championship game for example. Kept us in the lead with her surge of three pointers. Scored over 20 points. That game Angel was the 4th leading scorer on the team.
I’m not calling Angel bad at all. I’m just saying that she’s not as good as many narratives say. Thankfully KM is a good enough coach and we have good enough talent to where we can make up for when she has off nights.

Usually in games you lose thee whole team struggles, not just one player. And there are plenty of games last year that we don't win without her including most of the NCAA Tourny games. To say she struggles against tough competition is a real stretch. You don't get named the Final 4 MVP struggling.

Now you're just backed in a corner and reaching. The refs sent the stars to the bench with bad calls. She had 15, 10, 5 assists, and 3 steals in 29 minutes.

We really weren’t. Angel and Alexis carried that team and Alexis had a lot of off games, while Angel really only had the South Carolina game where she was shut down.
Now, in their 6 game NCAAT run the supporting staff stepped up huge. LaDazhia Williams was great. And then the championship game Jasmin Carson. But for most of the season Angel was carrying the team.

Every game is different. No, We will need everyone on this squad. May be a game where HVL might have to sit because we have better matchup.

How is it reaching when 2 of the 3 players who scored over 20 were starters? Laughable that you would even say that

Because she didn't struggle she was in foul trouble from bad officiating. Thankfully Carson, Smith, and Poa stepped up but that's not a knock on her because they did. Williams scored 20 and wasn't in foul trouble. Morris was in the 2nd but still played 33 minutes but she closed the game out with pick and rolls and made up her points.

You obvious don't understand basketball matchups. If I see I can run up and down against a team I take out my slowest people. It will be games we might have height advantage they might sit HLV or Fla'Jue add the 6'6 freshman, Reese, and Smith just to dominate the inside. Also Kim is trying to figure out and trying new things with this roster. She know what Angel can do and trying to see what the new players add or how they play together.

Lol at all of the new basketball experts. The MVP of the NCAA Tournament, in which all of the top competition plays, was Angel Reese. What an idiotic take.
Posted on 11/14/23 at 3:32 pm to Hankstarr74
Consider the competition….
Reese wasn’t needed this game. I heard she fired up a 3 pointer and that was enough for Mulkey to take her out - permanently. I hope she’s not in her dog house already….

"Not hungry. Struggling. Doesn't care"? Just curious, how many live games have you clowns seen? Talked to her? To CKM?Making these kinds of persona judgements with the minimal real info available at this point in the season is ridiculous. But sadly typical here.
