Are we as good as we think we are?

My wife laughed at me when I told her I thought we had a chance to beat Alabama. She hasn't Missed aLSU game in the last 15 years. And we have also watched a couple of Alabama games this year. Her point was as good as we are Alabama is just better at being better. It's seems like they just have that one play that breaks the other team and then just piles it on. I have to keep her around, we have too many kids.
What exactly do you think we are better at than Bama?

Nothing. We have to be near perfect to take one from them. No turnover. Hit some throws in the passing game. Keep the young QB in the pocket and defend the read option. Game will be tough. THey're physical again up front and the rush game will be limited.

We are the best team in America ... just ask the guys who think Ed Orgeron should be our next coach because hes from Louisiana ...

The best team doesn't always win. The reality is she's right they are slightly better player wise especially on both of the lines. The difference has been coaching maybe just maybe that will change from a game planning perspective this year. Our players are capable of outplaying them. It would take their best effort and some early breaks but they can do this.

Our defense is pretty good - ranked seventh in scoring. TAMU is 4th FWIW. Our receivers are bigger and so are our dbs. We will lose this game again this year because we will lose the line of scrimmage. It's as simple as that and yeah - we have Steve Ensminger as the OC. Les Miles and RC Slocum clone. We can't beat this team straight up. It will take a few untimely turn overs on their part.

I don't see how you can watch our defense play and ever say we will get blown out! Do I see us winning? Probably not, but we will NOT get blown out in Death Valley!

I always enjoy when she's wrong and I hope this is one of those times. She won't make a wager on it because she knows the magic of Tiger Stadium

I hope your wrong as well. I don't think we get blown out. I think we lose a close one.
However, I still feel that their young FR QB will be rattled in Tiger Stadium and still has not seen a defense like LSU!

We are better than 2008 and 2014 (OT). Maybe better than 2010 (W).

Our defense will be on the field alot and in bad field position because of our offense. I agree that our defensive isn't that bad.
