That hasn't been my entire argument, way to pick one post, though.

And it’s weird the people saying this are the same who said we were left in such bad shape that getting beat by 30 at State and losing to Troy was completely acceptable.

It will probably take several seasons for LSU to be on par with Alabama. It's not going to happen in one season. Plus it takes time for players to develop experience. However, we realize that some of you losers are always looking for excuses to blame O.

To say that that is the norm and not just a fluke would be lying though.
A fluke for who? A coach that had a career record of 10-25, 3-22 as a permanent HC? We really don’t know if that was a fluke for him or not at this point. What’s always concerned me most about O is not that he’d go 3-9, that’s easy he gets canned. What worries me is he goes 9-3 and people are cool with it cause (insert excuse here):

You're using that as an excuse?
It's not an excuse. It's an explanation as to why they got blown the hell out.
You realize I'm not trying to defend losing to Miss St in the fashion they did, right? I'm trying to explain to you that the team was in a really bad place and that they've turned it around since and that there should be credit given where it's due for that.

How many is several?

It's always fun when someone on a message board claims the other is "whining" when that person has a different viewpoint.
I disagree with people all the time on here. I rarely say this about anyone but the tone of these posts are very whiny.
you're ragging on people for finding some positives in last nights game yet you've been hesitant to go into details about what your expectations were, and whether not you can lose a game and still take away some positive things.
You honestly haven't said anything intelligent to express your view point other than simple rebuttals about spinning things and this not being the closest win Bama has had this year. It's hard to take seriously

And he's been improving upon his record. He went from not winning an SEC road game to winning two so far. I don't know what y'all expected, honestly. Coach O wasn't going to turn LSU into the 2001 Hurricanes in one season.
Your point about 9-3 is valid but I think we all understand that the expectations are to win most SEC games and to be competitive with Alabama on and off the field until Saban is gone.

In Miles' last 5 losses to Alabama, average margin of victory was 13.4 points. We lost by 14 points last night... it's the same song and dance as it has been with Bama every year...

and the outcome last night was no different.

Take the L, dude.

I've heard only one guy speculate that as a reason, but it was obvious he didn't know what he was talking about.

1-2 depending on the recruiting classes. There's enough talent in place next year to beat them if they can retain key players like Jackson, Battle, Clapp, Weathersby, etc.

It's weird how O haters are looking for anything little thing to justify their opinion of him before he officially coached a game as head coach.

Not sure who it was in this thread that made the argument about how on offense we didn't try the same thing over and over against Bama and it expect it to work like Miles always did, but...

Hey Broski, by chance did you see our ability to gash the middle?
Guess what opens that up?

It's weird that you're trying to act like historical references shouldn't be a factor.

So you're saying they would've done better not even incorporating the jet sweep? You're so far off-based here that it's hard to take you seriously.
If Alabama isn't considered about those sweeps and motions, Williams isn't running 50+ yards. Etling wouldn't have receivers open. It's integral to the offense.
ETA: Saban himself commented on how difficult it was to prepare for the game and that it gave them problems like a wishbone offense would. That's coming from Nick Saban dude, that's high praise.

how does what he did at Ole Miss factor into what is going on right now?

I guess you would like for us to all scream and stomp and demand the coach be fired? What does it really matter to you how everyone else feels about the loss?
